About Sarah Kreutzer and Her Learning to Listen Team:

Sarah Kreutzer, Britain’s leading ‘horse whisperer’, and her Learning to Listen team came to Sykehouse Arena on 1st September 2007 and amazed the crowds with their displays of horsemanship.  They provided a unique opportunity for horse owners to bring their horses for a day long demo/clinic to work through the problems in their partnership.  Spectators were invited to watch the work in progress and the day was dedicated to showing people the horse whispering techniques and how they can help equine/human partnerships progress to greater levels in any given discipline.

Sarah’s expertise was learnt whilst working in the States for Monty Roberts, the well known real life horse whisperer.  Sarah formed part of the original development team for Monty, then relocated to the North Yorkshire area where she offers training at her own yard, backed by a team of qualified trainers.  Having recently starred in a documentary on her methods Sarah is finding fame, both locally and nationally.

The day gave us a chance to see Britain’s leading horse whisperer at work and take home some valuable insight into the training methods – a day we hope to repeat shortly so keep an eye on the Diary Dates!

Testimonials from the Day:

“I cannot believe what a knock on effect last Saturday has had.  My sister and I have just spent the most fantastic day at Sykehouse watching Sarah and some of her team in utter disbelief.  To see in the flesh what can be done in such a short time has left us amazed.  We are hoping that one day we will manage to go to Ilton and hope to try some Western style riding.  Thank you so much Sarah”

“Thank you so much for booking the Learning to Listem team at Sykehouse Arena.  Sarah and Stephan gave me so much confidence which had taken such a knocking with Sabi’s boisterous behaviour … We use the spray and backing up for our walks down to the field, he hasn’t reared and the trips are much calmer now. He no longer spins in front of me or in front of the traffic so the locals can now drive normally through the village … He is now working calmly with poles and is rushing less over the tarpaulin … I now feel able to consider taking him for short walks on his own without feeling he is a danger not only to me but to other road users.  BUT most of all I like him again! So thank you for showing me the way”

“Having had my young horse Archie for just over 1 year our relationship was deteriorating rather than progressing and I had decided that to sell him was our best option.  However, the whispering clinic was to be a milestone event for us both.  The day itself was nothing short of inspirational. Sarah very quickly established the cause of our difficulties and gave me a clear way forward to work with Archie … after just half a day the improvement between Archie and myself was amazing.  Two weeks later I am continuing to use the same exercises and feel that real progress in my relationship with Archie is being made.  The training has altered my thinking about how and why horses behave as they do and hopefully has made me a better owner for my horses.”
